Testnet
Test the network. Trace the evidence.
Scalar's tokenless testnet is designed to test bounded work, independent validation, and provenance. It is in development and public access is not yet open.
Purpose
What the testnet is for
Controlled testing evaluates validation quality, failure handling, and readiness for broader participation.
- 01
Break validation
Submit deliberately corrupted, lazy or fabricated work and see whether validators catch it.
- 02
Test isolation
Verify that a worker genuinely cannot reconstruct context outside its packet.
- 03
Stress provenance
Audit completed jobs end to end from the Braid record months later.
- 04
Measure cost
Find out what verification actually costs per job class.
Simulation
Until it opens, here is the flow it is testing
This walkthrough simulates the intended job lifecycle. It does not connect to a live network.
Macroeconomic event comparison
Submit the job
An application submits a bounded job with an explicit specification, deadline and validation policy.
- Input boundary
- Defined sources only
- Work packets
- 3 independent workers
- Assurance
- Independent comparison
- Receipt
- Awaiting validation
- Delivery
- Withheld until accepted
Illustrative simulation. No live network, model, or market data is used.

What participants should expect
Registering interest places you on a contact list for future controlled testing. It is not an application, a queue position or an entitlement.
Register interestParticipation creates no right to future Scalar tokens, allocations or rewards. No token is offered, sold or distributed. Testnet state may be reset.
