Protocol · Network
Independent participants. Shared rules.
Workers compute, validators challenge, and applications consume verified results. Explore the intended roles while public participation remains in development.
Roles
Separation of duties, explained by role
Useful-work miner
Receives an isolated work packet, executes it within the permitted models, processes and input boundary, and returns signed execution evidence. A miner never decides whether its own work is accepted.
Participation
What each role is expected to bring
These expectations describe the intended design of future participation and may change before any network opens.
- 01
Useful-work miner
PlannedCompute capacity, a persistent pseudonymous identity and the ability to execute bounded packets reproducibly.
- 02
Validator
PlannedCapacity to reproduce or independently test work, plus operational independence from the workers evaluated.
- 03
Application
PlannedA real workload that can be expressed as a bounded, testable job specification.
- 04
Researcher
Welcome nowWillingness to attack the design and publish what breaks.
Decentralization
From controlled to distributed
Every stage has to earn the next one through security testing, independent operation and legal review.
- Stage 1Controlled
Company-operated workers, validators and coordination. Used to test job isolation, validation and failure handling.
Current design target - Stage 2Federated
Approved independent operators join. Multi-validator agreement and published specifications are exercised.
- Stage 3Public testnet
Broader participation, developer interfaces, adversarial testing and public telemetry — subject to readiness.
- Stage 4Distributed network
Progressive reduction of central coordination under published network rules, security review and legal review.
Current state
Where the network actually stands
If you want to be considered when controlled testing widens, register interest. It costs nothing and grants nothing.
Participation creates no right to future Scalar tokens, allocations or rewards. No token is offered, sold or distributed. Testnet state may be reset.
